Wallin & Partners was founded in 1995 by Swedish lawyer Rolf Wallin together with Spanish lawyer Olaf Medina-Montoya Hellgren. The concept was to create a law firm in Spain with knowledge and expertise in both Swedish and Spanish law and with legal advice primarily in Swedish.

Since its inception, the business has focused on assisting Scandinavian, primarily Swedish, private individuals and companies. However, extensive advice is also provided to Swedish lawyers, often in their capacity as bankruptcy trustees and estate administrators. Advice is also frequently given to Spanish lawyers in handling cases where Swedish law is included as an element.

The business idea is to assist foreign clients regarding Spanish civil law, with an emphasis on property law and inheritance law, as it is primarily in these areas that foreign citizens come into contact with Spanish law. For correct handling, it is often appropriate, not to say necessary, to have expertise in both Swedish and Spanish law. In addition, offering the client advice in their own language provides extra security.
