Wallin & Partners was founded in 1995 by Swedish lawyer Rolf Wallin together with Spanish lawyer Olaf Medina-Montoya Hellgren. The concept was to create a law firm in Spain with knowledge and expertise in both Swedish and Spanish law and with legal advice primarily in Swedish.

Since its inception, the business has focused on assisting Scandinavian, mainly Swedish, private individuals and companies. However, extensive advice is also given to Swedish lawyers, often in their capacity as bankruptcy administrators and estate administrators. Advice is also frequently given to Spanish lawyers in the handling of cases where Swedish law is an element.

The business idea is to assist foreign clients in Spanish civil law, with an emphasis on property law and inheritance law, as it is mainly in these areas that foreign citizens come into contact with Spanish law. For proper handling, it is often advisable, if not necessary, to have expertise in both Swedish and Spanish law. In addition, offering clients advice in their own language provides extra security.
